Are you the one holding everything together and it feels like no one appreciates your efforts? Do you do everything for everybody? Do you find it very hard to say no to people and feel taken advantage of? Putting yourself first feels selfish and wrong! The resentment builds and you find yourself lashing out. Do you stuff your feelings and find yourself drinking more and more, overspending, or other unhealthy behaviors, just to cope? You’re afraid if you stop doing everything, they will not want you anymore. You feel if you stop taking care of everyone, you won’t have value in your relationships.
You’re afraid of feeling abandoned. You want to stop and let everyone fend for themselves, but you don’t know how. You want to stop worrying and over-analyzing. You want to put yourself first, without the guilt. I specialize in helping people learn how to put themselves first. I can help you release the guilt and let go of unhealthy behaviors.
My practice is exclusively online. Video therapy reduces the obstacles that busy people face. It allows you to avoid travel time and traffic. It allows you to participate in therapy from the privacy of your own home. Visualize handling life’s problems in your pajamas, during your lunch break, or on a business trip. Video is extremely flexible.
